I recently decided to take a couple of days away from good ol’ Blighty in order to recuperate and rest my mind after a busy few months. Two days was never going to be enough really.. but it would certainly prove to help enormously. The first day consisted of much walking, thinking, admiring and eventually football watching and a couple of beers in one of my fav bars in Krakow.
The second day was going to be entirely different. Not that I knew it.. but it would end up being a ‘normal’ day ‘at the office’ – albeit half way across Europe. I woke up hungry, as ever, and headed to the main market square for some lunch (yes, I had a lie in) to be confronted with the beginnings of an enclosed causeway surrounding the cloth hall. I knew it straight away… a sports event. But what? Running? Well, it turned out to be cycling. Awesome. Although due to me preparing for a relaxing few days away, I had neglected to pack everything except my 1D Mark III and a 24 – 70 2.8. Not very awesome. But in retrospect, I’m glad.. it made me concentrate on including the environment, instead of just single shots of cyclists. Enough rambling… pics below! (and another entry to follow soon, I bumped into a rather important chap the very same day!)
